It has certainly been a busy few months at Riddwood and we are delighted that in this time we have been joined by an eclectic array of gentlemen representative of all things engineering.
So let us introduce them:
Daniel has over 14 years' experience in technical drawing, working his way up from an apprentice to a Senior Civil and Structural Technician. He has considerable knowledge across a wide range of structures, drainage and underground service layouts and architectural building layouts. Daniel especially likes finding and solving problems that may arise and gains great satisfaction seeing the projects he works on coming to fruition.
Daniel's love of construction extends to his hobbies, at home he can often be found in his shed tinkering, usually making things that fly and go bang. He also enjoys reading, photography and building remote controlled cars. He is a father of 3 young children, all of whom appreciate his building skills.
Daniel has joined Riddwood Consulting Engineers as our Senior Technician and we look forward to working with him on some exciting projects ahead.
Ioannis's love of all things engineering began when his uncle, an engineer, took him to construction sites as a young boy in Athens. His enjoyment of maths and physics at school sealed the deal and he began his Journey to becoming an Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens where he majored in Structural Engineering.
Luckily for us England beckoned and in 2015 Ioannis crossed the channel to embark upon an MSC in Structural Engineering at the University of Surrey. Now that he has completed his masters we are delighted that he has joined the team at Riddwood Consulting Engineers as a Graduate.
Outside of engineering, Ioannis has one other great passion, football, oh and as we are beginning to discover, coffee!
Neil was first driven to engineering by his fascination with structural mechanics which he studied as part of his A levels, this led him to read Civil Engineering at the University of Portsmouth, first at degree level and then for a Masters.
Following university Neil joined Foster Wheeler, where he gained his CEng MICE accreditation, and the last 16 years of his career in Oil and Gas Structural and Civil Engineering has read like a who's who in the industry. So why Riddwood? Neil is looking forward to the challenges that come with a developing diverse business such as Riddwood.
Neil enjoys playing golf, although with two young children his opportunities to do so seem to have diminished in recent years.
Born in Azerbaijan, Parviz's passion for construction was clear from a young age and in 1992 he gained his degree in Civil and Industrial Construction from the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction. He then went on to spend 12 years working within the Civil and Oil and Gas arena in Azerbaijan with giants such as BP and SOCAR.
In 2001 things changed however when Parviz and his young family sampled British life for a year through his wife's work with BP and in 2005 they made the move to the UK for good.
Since being in the UK Parviz has broadened his Structural and Civil experience working with a variety of materials including steel, re-enforced concrete, timber and masonry and he now particularly enjoys structural analysis and working on new developments. Parviz joins us as a Senior Engineer.
His interests out of work include nature, computers, and photography and DIY, his childhood love of construction lives on!
