Conor Martin

Conor joined Riddwood in 2016 following his acquisition from Graham Charlesworth.

Beginning his engineering career with John Sisk & Sons in Dublin, working on the many Commercial developments to be built in the City during the early 2000's. Conor has spent the last 15 years' working around the World on projects with a diverse range of requirements such as TBM and NATM Tunnels, Incremental Launch and Balance Cantilever Bridges and Motorway Construction.

Conor enjoys rugby, although purely a spectator these days, getting out on the bike and travelling.

Graham Charlesworth

Graham Charlesworth

It was the toy box full of Airfix and Meccano that gave away Graham's love of building and this has been a theme through his life. Graham began his engineering career building steel bridges with British Rail before moving on to ICI as a consulting engineer. Following a stint in the Petrochemical industry he moved to Riddwood some 32 years ago.

In that time he has worked across a vast array of projects including car parks, health clubs, pop festivals, office developments and Chelsea Football Club to name a few, he was also Managing Director for over a decade.

Graham plays squash regularly which keeps him fit to keep up with his 4, soon to be 5 Grandchildren.

Piers Byron-Moore

Piers Byron-Moore

Born in Zimbabwe Piers first came to the UK to study Engineering Science at Reading University in 1974, moving on to a DIC in Concrete Structures at Imperial College London.

Following his studies he returned home to Zimbabwe and spent over 20 years working for a number of high profile engineering firms, it was not until 2003 that he moved his young family over to the UK. Within a few months of their arrival Piers joined Riddwood and has not looked back. Some 12 years on Piers has worked across the broad spectrum that Riddwood embraces but most enjoys working with homeowners on domestic alterations and extensions. Piers has just celebrated 25 years as a Chartered Engineer.

Piers has two grown up daughters and lives with his wife Sue in Winchester, he enjoys music and walking and can often be found in the Lake District.

Vivienne Benning

Vivienne Benning

Vivienne initially joined Riddwood part-time as Office Manager just over four years ago and we have not looked back. In that she has reformed our systems and the way we work and Vivienne continues to strive for organisation and efficiency throughout the office

Prior to joining the team at Riddwood Vivienne ran her own business. She has two daughters and enjoys travelling and gardening, in particular growing vegetables, which is great news for the office as we benefit from her skill in this area.

Derek Penn

Derek Penn

In 1962, following Grammar school Derek followed his love of maths and design and became a Trainee Structural Engineer with a small London Consultancy. He has spent the past 54 years honing his skills. Luckily for us, the last 35 of those has been with Riddwood and he is still going strong.

Over this time Derek has concentrated on small works particularly those involving external steelworks and he has specific expertise in fire escapes and loft conversions. But with 54 years in the field he does not stop there, Derek has seen projects as diverse as a small domestic extension and a car park come to fruition in his time at Riddwood and he is looking forward to his next challenge.

In his spare time Derek plays for the Berkshire over 70’s badminton team, although how he fits it in with 4 children and 7 grandchildren we may never know.

Christopher Quebral

Christopher comes from a family of engineers and was influenced as a child to follow the footsteps of his family. He started working onsite every summer from the age of 14 in his father's firm in the Philippines. He then studied civil and structural engineering at St. Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines and became a professional engineer in 1997. Christopher continued to work on structural design of high rise buildings and domestic structures. He moved to Ireland in 2000 and continued to practise structural design and construction management. He became a chartered engineer in Ireland in 2009. Since then, he has been involved in various projects, both domestic and commercial.

Christopher joined Riddwood in 2017 and is enjoying the friendly atmosphere at work. Christopher enjoys reading books, cycling and travelling including meeting people.

Emma Martin

Emma Martin

Emma leads the Accounts and Human Resources duties within Riddwood. She has been working within the Company since 2016 and has over ten years of relevant experience.

Emma has amassed her considerable knowledge across Accounting, Human Resources and Business Management in similar roles in the Engineering, Education and Medical industries across both Ireland, Australia and the U.K.

Emma's love of Interior Design makes sure she keeps an eye on the Architectural drawings coming into the business and she can often be found in the parks around the local area walking her beloved dog, Jaffa.

Daniele Soldati

Daniele is a Master's-degree qualified Senior Civil / Structural Engineer with over ten years of in-depth experience in Industrial Building Design, Steel and Concrete Structural Design, as well as Structures for Railway design and drainage. This includes over five years work on various power plant projects, one and half years of which was spent as a Structural Engineer on the Mochovce Nuclear Power Plant project(Slovakia). Daniele has extensive project experience in the design of steel, concrete and foundations, along with an excellent understanding of detailed drawings. Daniele possesses knowledge of construction methods, seismic calculations and construction sequences in Civil and Structural Construction above and below ground.

In his spare time, Daniele enjoys reading and has also has a keen interest in travelling.

He is married and has two young children which keep him busy away from the office.

Neil Goulden

Alexia Kalliga

Alexia has held an interest in Construction and the Built Environment from a very young age as there are many Architects in her family. This exposure allied to her deep interest in Mathematics made Civil Engineering the perfect choice for Alexia. After deciding to study Civil Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens, Alexia then majored in Structural Engineering.

After her Civil Engineering studies, Alexia completed her MSc in Construction Economics and Management at University College London.

Alexia enjoys listening to music and playing tennis with friends.

Ioannis Moraloglou

Ioannis Moraloglou

Ioannis's love of all things engineering began when his uncle, an engineer, took him to construction sites as a young boy in Athens. His enjoyment of maths and physics at school sealed the deal and he began his Journey to becoming an Engineer at the National Technical University of Athens where he majored in Structural Engineering.

Luckily for us England beckoned and in 2015 Ioannis crossed the channel to embark upon an MSc in Structural Engineering at the University of Surrey.

Outside of engineering, Ioannis has one other great passion, football, oh and coffee!

Jake Scott

Jake is a recent Master's-degree qualified Civil Engineer from the University of Southampton with a year long exchange at the University of Bologna with the intention of becoming chartered by 2022. Jake's interest in Structural Engineering developed early on from his passion for mathematics and mechanics.

Away from the office, Jake continues to improve his language skills after studying in Italy and China while having a fond interest in football.
